is a provider of PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Coating Services. Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, just 50 miles north of Green Bay, Wisconsin, our location allows us to service customers in the surrounding Midwestern states and beyond.

PVD COATING
When applied to your tools, PVD Coating can increase the life of the tool. There are many types of coating to choose from depending on your application and most tools can be coated, including drills, milling cutters, and form tools, to name a few. Carbide, high speed steel and other types of steels can be coated but must first be inspected and cleaned to insure the tool is ready for the coating application.

Christensen Machinery Coating Facility

Our Precision Services Division is the midwest’s “Kennametal Licensed Reconditioning Center” for all high performance Dynapoint hole making products. We offer a rapid turn around for regrinding and PVD recoating of drills, milling cutters as well as customs. We use state of the art CNC Grinding equipment in conjunction with the latest technology in video inspection, both on the machine and offline. We have everything necessary to restore your cutting tools to factory new performance, as well as manufacture custom tools to customer requirements.

TYPES OF COATING

Christensen Machinery offers standard coatings like TiN, TiCN, and TiAlN as well as Silicon Nitride Matrix Nano Composite coatings in both Chromium base and Titanium base for superior heat and wear resistance. We will coat by the piece or by the load.
